This is an adorable little supernatural romantic comedy in which two people have a one night stand and then part ways never to see each other again but remember the other fondly… Just kidding, this one also goes exactly as you’d expect.

Rose Maxwell had been training all her life to represent the witches on the Supernatural Council. As her sister Violet discovered her magic in the last book and now has to take her rightful spot as the Prima, Rose has been a bit lost. She’s searching for her new purpose. She didn’t find her purpose in a one night stand with grumpy half-demon veterinarian Damian Adams, but they did have a lot of fun. When Rose is sentenced to community service at Damian’s animal sanctuary the sparks are flying!
The second book in the Supernatural Singles trilogy now focuses on middle Maxwell sister Rose. Rose is kind of flailing about now that she doesn’t have to fill the role she’s been preparing her entire life for. I enjoyed her determination not to settle for just being her sister’s tutor, a job she knows she could do well but would not be fulfilling. Though this is an enemies to lovers story, the enemies part just comes from Rose being embarrassed to constantly see what she thought was her one night stand everywhere. Damian is equally as determined not to be in a relationship because his witchy ex hexed him as a teenager to lose his heart to love. Although we can all see where the story is going, it’s a very cute journey to get there.
