As summer approaches, people start to think about beach reads. What exactly is a beach read? Does it have to be set in a beach community? Should it have sand on the cover? Does it have to be a light read? Must it be a romance? Does it have to be written by Elin Hilderbrand?
Well, I am proposing that we completely rethink beach reads. Read anything you want in the summer. Make anything into a beach read.
Now there’s an idea. Let’s create beach reads by changing one word in a book title to “beach”. I will start with a Cannonball favorite, The Thursday Murder Club. We can create three great beach reads: The Beach Murder Club, The Thursday Beach Club, and The Thursday Murder Beach. Who wouldn’t want those as their summer reads?
Here are some more I created. New title with replaced word following in parentheses:
• The Beach Experience (English)
• The Hundred Beaches of Juliet (Loves)
• Someone Else’s Beach (Shoes)
• Remarkably Bright Beaches (Creatures)
As usual, I can’t have all the fun. Comment below by taking your favorite book titles, replacing one word with beach, and turning them into beach reads!
