I believe this was a Reese Witherspoon pick, as well. For a while there, it certainly seemed to be everywhere, so when I needed to spend another $15 to get free shipping from Target, I added it to the cart.
I admit, I read it on a plane from Melbourne to Sydney, and did NOT read it closely enough to have pegged the family angle, or the identity of the corpse. It’s either nicely played, or I wasn’t paying attention – let’s give it to the book. I DID pick the killer and the other twist, sop I must have been paying some attention?
Like the Guest List, I found this tightly plotted and a compelling read. Similar vibe and page turning nature between the two – I’ll be looking up her other novels.
Worth the time taken to read it, and (unlike some) I hadn’t forgotten about it a week later.
