I have read the entire Kate Daniels series and used to have reviews for it back in the day on Amazon. Deleted and moved on. But I also decided to do a re-read a while back that I stopped because I forgot how much the earlier books were just not that great. And yeah this one, was not that great. Thank God the latter books in the series kicked butt and I absolutely love the spin offs to this series.
We have Kate still feeling ticked about Curran standing her up for dinner and then a new player enters the fray in Atlanta.
I have to say this, Kate and Curran not even discussing what happened til like the 50 percent part of the book was beyond dumb. You could feel the authors working to keep them apart and it made zero sense. I was so grateful when Ilona Andrews decided to just let them be together in later books.
I read this for Cannonball Read 14:
- Hot: Could be a book that’s very popular, or takes place during hot weather, involves volcanos, is about heat, or includes sexy characters.
- Curran and Kate are definitely very sexy i.e. hot characters.
