Tweet Cute is a cute little story about two teenagers falling in love through the Twitter accounts of their parents’ businesses. Pepper helps run the social media for her mother’s chain restaurant, Big League Burgers. Jack posts for his father’s small deli, Girl Cheesing. When Big League Burgers steals a grilled cheese recipe from the smaller restaurant, the Twitter war is on. Soon, people take notice, but they also start to ship the pair behind the accounts.
Pepper and Jack aren’t exactly friends in real life, but they work together to negotiate between the swimming and diving teams, then negotiate between their Twitter rivalry, and if that wasn’t complicated enough, they are also secretly communicating on the illegal website Jack created at school…it’s complicated.
It’s a fun story, some fun hate to love stuff. I really want to try Pepper’s recipes that she posts on her blog (I heard that Emma Lord did post the Monster Cake recipe). It’s all just very cute.
