This is an extremely late, but huge thank you to The Chancellor for the book exchange goodies! I’ve had The Day the World Came to Town on my TBR list ever since reading a review of it right here on CBR. I work in aviation, and everybody who was here on 9/11 talks about how absolutely chaotic the logistics of that was. I am really excited to read this one.
I received this package of books just before going on a trip to Utah, and it immediately solved the dilemma I had about what book to include in my backpack. Trevor Noah has really grown on me as The Daily Show host, and I love his stand-up comedy, so I was not surprised to find he is an extremely talented writer as well. Born a Crime weaves hilarious and heartbreaking tales together through the eyes of somebody growing up between cultures. And the ending is such a tearjerker (in a good way)! I think I love him even more now.
