Whose Boat Is This Boat? Comments That Don’t Help in the Aftermath of a Hurricane has several clues why this is not a pro-Trump book. First, the cover is less than flattering (one fat, Cheeto dust covered face male) and second, it was created by The Staff of the Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
This book shows the buffoon in all his stupidity. The entire book is dedicated to the statements that he said during the aftermath of Hurricane Florence. And (as usual) these statements were incomprehensible and moro

nic. The sheer incompetence of these statements just keeps grows like a fungus into utter nonsense page after page.
On September 19, 2018, Donald Trump paid a visit to New Bern, North Carolina, one of the towns ravaged by Hurricane Florence. It was there he showed deep concern for a boat that washed ashore. “At least you got a nice boat out of the deal,” said President Trump to hurricane victims. “Have a good time!” he told them. (from Amazons review). This is the only way to show this book. He told people who had lost everything (and not ironically) To Have. A. Good. Time.
The illustrators are reflections of that statement as well. There are images of him on said boat with cancan dancers; the boat “just arrived” like it had legs from The Christmas Story’s lamp; he throws out packages of hot dogs and what looks to be either fruit or pudding cups to a stunned audience. A suffering audience that needs no words to explain what puzzlement they are facing. Their facial expressions say it all. As does the sun on the first page. It sadly gazes at Air Force one as it takes off to North Carolina. It knows what awaits them. There should also be a sun looking out at you, the reader, as well.
100% of The Late Show’s proceeds from this book go to hurricane relief.
