My earliest review, evar!! I usually only review things that evoke a strong response and I’ve never even made a quarter Cannonball. This year I’m going to try to write about every book I finish.
This book was basic. It was free on Kindle (still is as of this writing, if you just haaaave to read a romance set on Coronado) (N.B. how the fuck y’all gonna afford any real estate out there?)
Hannah Davis was jilted and wants to find out what tore her man away from her. Of course, she thinks of herself as plain and boring and a little schoolmarm. So like, what are you wondering about girl? Except ex-Secret Service agent Tanner Hart thinks she’s amazing. Well yay, good thing you’re both basic and can be basic together!!

This one was ok. There were no glaring terrible-nesses to it. There is a sibplot (It was a typo but now it is officially if the secondary couple in a romance involves one or more siblings of a main character) with Tanner’s brother Troy and a Saudi princess named Desiree that was ok. But y’all, if you have noise induced migraines – you’re gonna sell the bar, be real.
It did not move me. I was not invested in these characters. The only one I liked even a bit was Desiree because she was not here for Troy being shitty and completely stood up to him. I won’t be running to read another by this author. The sex writing was not inspiring and the ending was just forced and cheap.
Hat tip to the visit to Black’s Beach that you didn’t even call Black’s Beach even though you set this in a real place. Why wouldn’t you use the real name for this when you used the real name for everything else? Ugh, anyways…
