So this is book three of the Dominion Trilogy. I still don’t know why it’s called that. I liked the trilogy as a whole, and I liked this book too. It really did wrap up all of the story lines, and it wasn’t too much of a perfect happy ending. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a pretty happy ending, but there are still some things that make it a little more believable. I just read someone’s Amazon review of this book, and they kinda echoed how I felt about the main character, Zoey. They said that her actions were pretty unbelievable. I felt like that sometimes too. She ALWAYS wants to do everything on her own, and no matter how many times her new family tells her otherwise, she still runs off and gets them all in trouble. They keep telling her that they’re all together and they’ll do whatever needs to be done, then she goes to do it herself, and someone gets hurt or killed coming to help her. Anyway…
We finally learn about who Zoey’s parents are. She only learns who her mother is, but we also know who her father is. The reveal was definitely definitely surprising to me. I don’t want to ruin the book, so I’ll just do a broad overview. The group has to figure out how to get into the ARC to get Zoey and Lee’s daughter back. Of course Zoey sacrifices herself to get the baby, and they take her back into the ARC. Not a lot of action happens inside, but we learn a ton of valuable information. Read the trilogy. I got them for free from Kindle Unlimited, so that probably helped my positive feelings. I’d actually give this book 3.5 stars, but that’s not an option!
