I stumbled across Justin Valmassoi’s slightly emo tumblr a few years ago (if I remember correctly, the whole point of it initially was to get a girl, and maybe he did get the girl? I can’t remember). I read the whole thing in an afternoon, and promptly forgot about its existence until the book version popped up on my Overdrive. Reading the book version was basically the same experience: some of the caption/picture combinations made me laugh, some were kind of dumb, all of it will have evaporated from my mind by next week. I definitely prefer the images with short, succinct captions versus the long rants. I like the alpacas, the cats, and the angry little rodents and reptiles. Mostly, this book it made for a good way to pass a little time, and an excellent way to cheer up after finishing A Long Way Home (from which I have not yet fully recovered. seriously. that book is harsh). And I’m glad Justin Valmassoi is doing well, although I in no way supported him since I read the book for free (sorry Justin!).
And here two of my favorites. The alpaca one literally made me lol, if that tells you anything about my sense of humor (dirty talk + alpacas is my sense of humor).
