Ok, so I finished book 3 (this book) the other night, and then IMMEDIATELY (like super instantly) started book 4, so I’m trying to separate the two. I should just go right to the CBR website and do my review before I start a new book. Especially the next book in a series. Anyway, here goes…
As I inferred in my review for book 2 (I just reread my review), the Variants are doing terrible things to the human population. The human species is slowly (not slowly actually, pretty fast) going extinct. Of course it’s up to our rag tag band of survivors on Plum Island to try and stop the world from imploding. Dr. Kate is devising a new super drug to kill all the remaining Variants. Her buddy, Dr. Ellis is helping. They come up with some sort of brilliant plan, but of course they need supplies.

This might sound weird, but I’m not really into all the “action” parts of these books. I usually skim through them and see who lives through the action. I also don’t like car chases, so there’s that.
Anyway, Team Ghost saddles up (what’s the term for “saddling up” in a helicopter? Copter’s up?) and heads out to a bunch of places, all with understandably hilarious results. Hilarious = murdery. Kate might be pregnant, Riley (the Team Ghost guy who’s been in a wheelchair for like 2 books) might have a girlfriend (on crutches), there might be an evil military conspiracy aimed to make the US a superpower, and Dr. Ellis might have injected himself with the cure for humanity / Variant murder drug. WE SHALL SEE HOW IT ALL PLAYS OUT! USAUSAUSA! (just kidding this time, the evil military conspiracty is super dickish!)
