I’m not really sure how I got this book, but I found it on my bookshelf the other day, and I guess it finally looked interesting!
It’s the first book in a series of I don’t know how many books. We get introduced to a bunch of CSU characters in Philly. They are the crime scene unit investigators for the city. The only thing that I didn’t like about the story is that these CSU people are out doing detective work (interviewing suspects, going to people’s house that aren’t crime scenes, etc) that they shouldn’t be doing. My best friend is a CSI, and her and her coworkers hate how CSI’s are shown on TV. Im5 sure they’d hate this series, but I’m not a CSI, so it only slightly bothers me.
Anyway, I like the main character, and all of her coworkers too. On Madison’s (the main character) first day, there’s a suspicious death at the University of Pennsylvania. She goes to the scene with her coworkers, and although everyone thinks it’s a regular overdose, she’s not convinced. She actually gets in trouble a few times for not letting the case go. There is another death, and she gets her coworkers (now sorta friends) to help. I won’t give away the twists, because they’re pretty interesting.
Conveniently, I have the next two books in the series, because they’re randomly on my bookshelf too! I’m starting book 2 today.
I’d recommend this book if you just want some quick reading that will keep you interested.
