*Upon posting this review I learned that this book isn’t available on amazon.com, only amazon.ca. However if any Americans are out there thinking “hey, I’d love to try a Canadian author and this one isn’t even available in the States, how cool is that?” just stop, give yourself a shake and get something from any of the millions of other amazing authors that Canada has to offer. I’ll have to check the manual but I may have to give myself ten lashes for turning people away from a Canadian author.*
This is quite possibly the most forgettable book I read in 2014. I hardly even know what to say about it.
Chloe Sparrow is a producer for the CBC who has the ability to make wishes come true. When she is handed a job producing the new Canadian Bachelor instead of producing a news segment, she is upset, but determined to do a good job. Chloe is, you see, old beyond her years because her parents died when she was a teenager and she was raised by her abrasive Aunt and Grandfather. She is 25, but has only one friend and is focussed solely on meeting her responsibilities. Despite her disdain for reality TV, Chloe is determined to be successful in her work and throws herself completely into producing the show, but when she starts to fall for the bachelor himself, she finds things are anything but simple.
