Multiple authors take on the Siege of Trenzalore. The doctor protected Trenzalore for 900 years from all of his enemies – and from some of his friends. He knew he would die on Trenzalore, he just didn’t know when or how.
This book contains four of the stories that happened during those 900 years: “Let it Snow;” “An Apple a Day;” “Strangers in the Outland;” and “The Dreaming.” They tell the tales of attacks by Autons, the Krynoids, the Mara, and the Ice Warriors. The Doctor saves the day (the planet, the town of Christmas) over and over again, often with the help of children.
It’s funny, I just re-watched The Time of the Doctor, which brackets these stories. Thanks to BBC America for the Christmas Doctor-athon.
If you’re a fan of Doctor Who, I highly recommend this book and all of its stories.
