Despite reading the description, I expected this to be a girly paranormal romance. It’s really nothing like that. Half Bad is like a grittier Harry Potter, though it doesn’t share much with the boy who lived other than the fact that both deal with magical peoples and are set in England.
I really liked this book. It’s different from a lot of teen books I’ve read, and I appreciated the grittiness. My only issue is that it’s always a pain to have to wait for the rest of the series.
